Petting Kangaroos and hugging Koalas in Wollongong – with parents

We’re in a town called Wollongong, Australia where I attended my first blog trip. A blog trip is a trip where the tourism people take me around town to see everything there is to do so I can blog about it. Now that’s handy because unlike Papa, they don’t get lost.

Mama got to ride a Harley and we visited Symbio Wildlife Park. They have a lot of animals there and my favourites are the Kangaroos and Koalas. I can imitate Kangaroos really good so it was great to see them in real life. I even got to pet one!

Then I got to hug a Koala. Koalas are really sweet and soft. And they have funny ears. Papa says I used to be good at imitating a Koala because they sleep 20 hours a day. But not so much anymore. There’s too much to do and life is too short.

Koalas are really soft, I want to take one home

There was also a snake! I was really big and Mama was scared of it. I thought he was really nice.

Wow that's a big snake

They have some crazy animals in Australia. We’re going to be in Australia for a few more weeks, I wonder if I will see some more I’ve never seen before.

Tips from Papa: Wollongong (the Gong) is a nice town about an hour south of Sydney. The drive along the ocean is beautiful. We stayed at the Novotal which is one of the most child-friendly hotels we’ve stayed at. Symbio Wildlife Park has all the Aussie highlights plus a range of other animals. Very cool place for toddlers.
